Review of high risk work and workplaces

Our principal consultant has undertaken a large number of risk assessments in Australia and the Asian Pacific Region on high risk work and high risk workplaces, where uncontrolled hazards have the potential to result in a serious injury or fatality. The following are some of those:

  • Construction work
  • Civil work
  • Mobile Plant (including forklifts, cranes, EWPs, excavators, backhoes, telehandlers and agricultural vehicles)
  • Machine Guarding
  • Major Hazard Facilities
  • Major Power Generation
  • Petrochemical Installations
  • Mining Operations
  • Work at Height
  • Low and High Voltage
  • Confined Space Entries
  • Handling of Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Substances
  • Cash-in Transit
  • High Pressure Water Jetting

These reviews can be conducted during shutdowns or outages or on specific times convenient to your organisation.

The comprehensive assessments are undertaken with consideration to the applicable State or Territory Regulation, Compliance Code (Code of Practice), Guidance Notes, Australian/New Zealand or International Standard or against your company specific requirements.

The risks and hazards identified are quantified and detailed action plans are formulated in consultation with your key personnel to establish suitable controls measures to eliminate or reduce the risks or hazards to as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP).

A follow up audit at a pre-determined date may be undertaken to confirm that ALARP has been achieved or as a part of a continuous improvement process to move towards best practice.
